Dr. Michael Chiang is a Senior Managing Partner Advance ER, where he delivers concierge-style, hospital-level emergency care with a focus on precision, compassion, and patient experience.
He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at UCLA School of Medicine. He is board certified and a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). Prior to co-founding Advance ER, he served as Chief of Emergency Medicine at The Heart Hospital at Baylor Plano, leading clinical teams in a specialized cardiac environment.
In addition to medicine, Dr. Chiang has an entrepreneurial background as a five-star restaurant owner, a chapter that shaped his service-driven approach to patient care. He is also an active member of several car clubs and values the craftsmanship and community those experiences provide.
Fluent in English and Chinese, Dr. Chiang is passionate about helping patients who may face language barriers feel understood and supported in urgent medical situations. He remains actively involved in community boards and outreach.
Dr. Chiang and his wife, Wendy, have been married for 25 years and have three children — Mandy (21), Charlie (15), and Angela (8). Family, community, and compassionate care remain at the center of his work and leadership.
